The new ATX12-HD-RS is an extremely lightweight and high-power Lithium-Ion replacement battery for the heavy lead/acid YTX12 battery found in many Motorcycles and Powersport Vehicles. The ATX12-HD-RS offers the first FULL Battery Management System (BMS) found on a Powersport Battery and includes low-voltage cut-off, over discharge, over-charge, and thermal protections with real time lithium-ion cell balancing.

(Please note if you use older bikes from the mid 1990's and earlier you must update the charging systems to a modern voltage regulator. Damaged voltage regulators can over charge and damage lithium batteries)

Due to their excessively high current draw, the restart & heavy duty series of batteries are not suitable for bikes with large, modified or custom V Twin engines

Do not use Lead/Acid Chargers.

AG battery for BMW 1250 GSA

For a while i’ve struggled with the standard BMW AGM battery (rated at 200 CCA); it has on many occasions, especially in the cold, not able to turn the engine more than three times from cold (good example is boarding a ferry where there are usually a number of stop/starts). Waited for cooler temperatures & just fitted the AG ATX-12-HD … what a transformation! Zero issues and no hesitation for the starter motor; the 450CCA makes all the difference in turning over the big twin. Paul was extremely helpful with all my enquiries and not the usual king of service one gets these days. Thank you Paul & thank you AG. (For what it’s worth, my saviour to date was the AG MicroStart XP-3 - what a great compact & very capable piece of kit).

I would have to say that I have never had service as good as I did when I bought this battery.

I sent an enquiry via the website and shortly after had a phone call from Paul.

Paul was super helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. I had some questions and he went through each one with me, patiently explaining all the tech stuff in a way I could understand.

I can’t recommend Paul enough. He is the owner of the business and clearly wants what is best for his customers.

It’s a massive thumbs up from me and my R1200GS and an even bigger Thank You.

Bought an atx 20/ 680 cca rs for a high comp 2.0 road car - apart from the need for trickle charging [due to infrequent use] it is perfect. I have a 9.0 comp 2.0 turbo car that's eaten more lead acid batteries than I remember as it's used almost never [changing very soon...]. I took a chance [20-25 deg C recently in UK] that dropping from the 20/680 cca rs to the 12/480 cca rs would be fine - no probs at all despite the mapping/ lack of running can cause probs on its own when firing it up after a long spell. It's even lighter than the 20/ 680 cca - crazy light [I think it might be a racing bike battery]. I've had the 20 now for almost 2 years so don't think reliability will be a problem long term for either. If you can get away with the smaller capacity 12/ 480 [AG chaps recommended 680 first time there when I personally visited] go for it as it's even lighter [the 20 was 1.68 kg on certified scales, didn't measure the 12] and usefully cheaper ! The restart means it has never let me down. PS the restart is only good for 1-2 starts if it's been allowed to run down [against AG advice..] if a trickle charger/ driving to charge it up is not used after the RS used [clearly not advisable but in the interests of science...?].
